OKS is a play on the word "oikos" - the Greek word for household or family.

O – stands for “Oikos-Household of Faith” - a Kenyan charitable organization serving HIV/AIDS orphans in the Oyugis area.

K – stands for the Kiswahili word “karanga” which means groundnut (or peanut)

S -  stands for the Kiswahili word “siagi” which means butter.

Oikos Karanga Siagi = Oikos Peanut Butter

The logo consists of the letters “OKS” in the shape of a peanut. The colors – green, red and black – are the colors of the Kenyan flag.

OKS Inc is partnering with Oikos-Household of Faith to employ adult orphans from their program to manufacture and deliver the peanut butter supplement to malnourished children.
